Ardennes Offensive

Saturday, 16th December 1944, 5.30 a.m.

The German lines are mobilizing for a last huge offensive Rhine Watch?. A deadly artillery barrage explodes along the US positions west of rivers Our and Sauer and determined infantry troops attack on a 90-mile long front, driving over the border in their attempt to totally eliminate enemy positions between Monschau and Echternach.
In this battle, one of the most hard-fought in history, the US forces in Luxembourg taking part are the 109th, 110th, and 122nd infantry regiments, the 28th Division and Combat Command A of the 9th US Tank Division.
In the Belgian sector, it's the 99th US Division and the 106th US Infantry Division who must try to stem the German onslaught.

The American soldier Cowell is taken by surprise while on patrol. His comrades are cut to ribbons by a hail of bullets. Badly injured, he manages to hide in a gully on a snow-covered mountain. He knows that the combination of gnawing hunger, his wounds and the howling, icy wind will soon kill him. His only hope is to reach his unit's camp, which he believes is quite close at hand.

The attacking German troops are determined to capture the dwindling US fuel supplies in the area - otherwise their offensive will fail. Cowell must foil this plan before his Division arrives - at any cost. To get back, he'll have to go right through the middle of the enemy lines.

There can be no stopping him - the whole offensive, and his life - rests on Cowell reaching his camp.
